This is the "new" version of the Darrel Ralph designed 18-XRAY™. It is the ultimate expression of the modern military automatic knife. The extreme conditions of today's military operations demand a folding knife that can be carried conveniently and securely, yet be deployed in an instant, even while wearing gloves.

Darrel Ralph's revolutionary Slide Auto Safety™ (SAS™) integrates the function of the firing button and a secondary safety into a single mechanism. At rest, the button is securely and automatically locked. To open the knife, simply slide the button forward, then depress it in one fluid motion. Releasing it will reengage the safety and lock the blade. This knife has a strong opening "kick".
