Trade-Ins
We will gladly consider knives as trades toward the purchase of our products. Trade-ins must be evaluated in person before a final offer price can be established. However, we will discuss trade offers if detailed, current photos and supporting information can be furnished via e-mail to our appraisal staff. The final value of a trade will be determined based upon a direct inspection of the item's condition and it's concluded marketability. Consignment
KnifeBuy.com offers one the best knife consignment programs in the industry. If you have a knife that you would like to consign, and we determine that it fits our market, we will handle all photography, videography and supplemental marketing materials required to assist in the sale of your piece. At the time of sale, we will pay you 85% of the agreed upon sale price, based on appraised fair market value. We Buy Knives
If you're not interested in trading your knife, and consignment isn't a viable option for you, we will also consider making a direct purchase offer for your knife. Before you decide on this option, please understand that purchase offers can be substantially less than consignment values as they present the greatest risk for us, since we assume the full recourse of the costs of refurbishment, inventory stocking and re-marketing of the purchased item. Please also note that "No final offer will be made on knives that we have not physically inspected". If you are interested in a purchase offer, please contact us and our sales manager will communicate with you directly.

Layaway Program
If you find an item on our site, and you do not want to pay for it all at once, consider our Layaway program. We offer a 120 day layaway option with a 4 month payment cycle, whereby the total price of the item is divided into 4 equal payments, with the final payment including any shipping and tax fees. For instance, if you purchase a $1000 dollar item, you will put 25% down ($250) as an initial payment, then make 3 additional monthly payments of 25% ($250), with the final payment including any required shipping fee, plus tax (for GA residents). There is no penalty for adding items to an existing layaway, but the payment amount will be adjusted to 25% of the newly acquired balance (with the final payment including applicable shipping fees and tax). All balances must be paid before layaway items can be shipped.

Cancellation of layaways will result in a 5% restocking fee, with the balance of funds returned in the form of the initial payment method. (i.e., credit card payment balances will be directly refunded to the same account number and, similarly, checks and PayPal payments will be refunded in their original payment method format, minus the 5% restocking fee.)
